The North Shore of Kamloops continues to evolve into a thriving, connected community shaped by thoughtful development and a commitment to long-term growth. ARPA Investments has played a key role in shaping this transformation, fostering economic vitality while ensuring new developments enhance the neighbourhood’s unique character and accessibility.
Over the past few years, the North Shore has seen significant growth, with an influx of new businesses, infrastructure upgrades, and residential projects redefining the area. ARPA has been at the forefront of this momentum, leading projects that contribute to the North Shore’s appeal as a place to live, work, and invest.
“We’re seeing a remarkable transformation on the North Shore, with over 25 new businesses opening in the past year and several major developments underway,” said Jeremy Heighton, executive director of the North Shore Business Improvement Association (NSBIA). “ARPA has played a significant role in this shift, not only through their developments but also through their leadership in supporting community initiatives.”
ARPA’s projects are designed with a focus on sustainability, livability, and community engagement. By integrating residential and commercial spaces, they are helping create a dynamic neighbourhood where people can access essential services, green spaces, and recreational opportunities within walking distance of their homes.
Beyond real estate, ARPA remains actively involved in initiatives that foster a sense of belonging and community pride. This includes supporting local arts and culture, investing in infrastructure improvements, and collaborating with city planners and local organizations to ensure the area’s continued success.
As the North Shore grows, efforts continue to enhance transportation, pedestrian pathways, and public spaces to support an increasingly connected community. The NSBIA has been working alongside developers and city officials to implement parking management strategies, expand green spaces, and improve walkability.
“This is what I call the ‘connective tissue’ of a neighbourhood, ensuring people can bike, walk, and enjoy public spaces that are safe and accessible,” Heighton added. “With the right planning and investment, the North Shore is becoming one of Kamloops’ most desirable areas.”
Looking ahead, ARPA remains dedicated to responsible development that reflects the needs and aspirations of the community. With more projects planned in the coming years, their vision is clear: to build not just structures but a thriving, inclusive, and vibrant North Shore that serves residents today and for generations to come.
